Faculty Day

The Faculty Day organized by the Faculty of Management and Finance was successfully held on 19 October 2016 at the University Ground. The event was conducted with the aim of building full blooded relationships among the academic members, students, academic supportive and non-academic staff members of the Faculty. Department of Physical Education gave their fullest corporation to the success of the event. The main sponsor of the event was AIA Insurance PLC and co-sponsors were Singer Sri Lanka PLC, Bank of Ceylon, Andaradeniya Estate (Pvt) Ltd and Ce’nedra (Pvt) Ltd.

Senior Professor Gamini Senanayake, Vice Chancellor, University of Ruhuna, Dr. TSLW Gunawardana, Dean, Faculty of Management and Finance, academic staff members, academic supportive and non-academic staff members and the students of the Faculty participated for the event. In addition, the representatives of sponsors also participated in the inauguration ceremony of Faculty Day. The event consisted of cricket tournament, netball tournament, entertaining events, team building games, and athletics.It provided a fertile opportunity to the Faculty as it educated the people the importance of having a healthy and active life style while enhancing the collaboration among different parties of the Faculty.
