Dr. Mafasiya Fairoz is a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. She received her Bachelor's Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka, and Ph.D from Shizuoka University, Japan. She is working as a visiting Lecturer in the PDBA/MBA programme at the University of Ruhuna. FOREIGN GRANTED PROJECTS
Served as a Team member in writing the proposal under the Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education and the title of the project proposal is ‘Techno-Economic-Societal Sustainable Development Training in Sri Lanka (TESS)’ to the Erasmus+ in European Union. The main aim of the project is Waste Management and 8 work packages were developed by partner universities to address the issue. University of Ruhuna (UoR) aims to develop Cross-sector collaboration between industry, municipalities and NGOs under the work package 1.7. By participating in this TESS project, the UoR receives the opportunity to cooperate with a network of foreign experts to address the waste management challenge in the country in general and the province in particular. As well the project team will enable to participate for exposure training. The project proposal has been approved for granted funding by the European Union and the total grant of the project is 969,089.00 EUR with three years’ time duration starting from 2021 to 2023. Out of the total budget granted, 64,400, EUR has been allocated for the University of Ruhuna under the five budget items consist of staff costs, travel costs, costs of stay, equipment costs, and subcontracting costs.
