Strategic Finance in Action: Bridging Theory and Real-World Decision Making
The Circle of Accounting, Department of Accountancy, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Ruhuna organized an insightful online guest lecture titled “Strategic Finance in Action: Bridging Theory and Real-World Decision Making” on the 23rd of July 2025 via Zoom, under the guidance of Ms. Dinukee De Silva, Lecturer in the Department of Accountancy.
The session was conducted by Mr. Delano Dias, Former Managing Director of Millers Ltd, Former Chief Executive Officer, and Former Chairman of the Import Section of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. With his extensive industry experience, Mr. Dias shared valuable perspectives on how financial theories are applied in real-world business contexts to support strategic decision-making.
Students were introduced to practical applications of strategic finance tools and techniques, highlighting how they drive smart and effective business decisions in today’s dynamic environment.
