Industry Readiness Workshop: “Career Nexus 2026 – Gateway to Professional Excellence”
The Circle of Accounting of the Department of Accountancy successfully organized an engaging workshop on industry readiness under the Career Nexus 2026 initiative for 3000-level and 4000-level specialized accounting students on 06th May 2026 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at MFLT 01, with the objective of enhancing their preparedness for the modern corporate environment under the coordination of Dr. Deepal A. Guruge. The session was designed to provide participants with practical insights into industry expectations, professional competencies, and emerging career opportunities while bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practice
The workshop featured an interactive guest session conducted by Mr. Thilina Bandara, associate principal consultant at Nagarro Certified Trainer, who shared valuable knowledge and professional experiences related to workplace readiness, career development strategies, and the essential skills required to succeed in today’s competitive job market. Through the session, students learned more about corporate culture and professional growth while strengthening their confidence to face future career challenges effectively.
