Study Tour – Department of Business Management - 2025
Two day field visit was organized in collaboration with the Circle of Business Management on 21st and 22nd July 2025 and this study tour created a remarkable opportunity for students to bridge theory with real-world practice and during the journey, undergraduates explored diverse industry operations at:
- Pelwatte Sugar Industries PLC – Buttala
- Sehani Desheeya Oushada (Pvt) Ltd – Buttala
- Department of Tourism Studies, Uva Wellassa University
- Ambewela Milk Factory (New Zealand Farm) – Nuwara Eliya
The visit provided valuable insights into sugar production, indigenous medicine, tourism studies, and dairy processing, enriching students’ academic journey with practical exposure. This experience significantly enhanced their understanding and prepared them for future professional challenges.
