The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Ruhuna, successfully organized an inspiring and future-focused online awareness session titled “Stepping into a New Era with Business Technology in Higher Education” on 23rd July 2025 at 7.00 p.m. The session was conducted by Professor Chaminda N. Wickramasinghe, who brought valuable insights into the evolving landscape where technology and entrepreneurship intersect to reshape business education.
Targeting 2000-level undergraduate students, the session emphasized the critical role of business technology in shaping the future of industries, highlighting how advancements such as Artificial Intelligence and data analytics are driving innovation and transforming organizational practices. Participants were introduced to a variety of prospective career paths in the technology-driven business world and gained a deeper understanding of the skills required to thrive in a rapidly changing global market.
